WALLEYE
2006 was a banner year for walleye. Most all trips were limit catches, usually by noon. The bulk
of the fish were from the 2003 hatch that averaged in the 18 inch range. In 2007 this huge year class of fish will average
around 21 inches. Combine this with the giant population of walleye in LAKE ERIE and it should make the
season of 07 fantastic.
SMALLMOUTH BASS
Typical catches will be in the 2 to 4 pound class with plenty of 5 pounds plus.
The Fishing will start to heat up in late August and Sept.
PERCH
October in Vermilion is best for jumbo perch with many limit catches before noon. That
makes this an excellent time for a perch walleye combo trip.
